India Cancels Security Clearance of Çelebi’s Indian Unit Over National Security Concerns

India’s aviation security authority, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), has withdrawn the security clearance of Çelebi Airport Services India, a subsidiary of Turkish firm Çelebi Aviation Holding. The decision was taken immediately, citing concerns over national security, following Turkey’s support for Pakistan in the recent India-Pakistan conflict.

In response, Çelebi India defended its identity, stating that it is entirely Indian in its operations and leadership. The company emphasized that it is not a Turkish entity and is primarily owned by global institutional investors. Rejecting claims circulating on social media, Çelebi clarified that Turkish President Erdoğan’s daughter, Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar, has no ownership in the firm and labeled such rumors as false.

The move comes amid rising public calls in India for a travel boycott of Turkey and a reassessment of Turkish business operations in the country. The use of Turkish drones by Pakistan during the recent military conflict has further fueled negative sentiment. Çelebi’s operations at several Indian airports, considered sensitive infrastructure, have come under particular scrutiny.

after the Pahalgam Terror attack, this initiative
calls for Global Attention to the sacrifices these families make.

. The Foundation has
also conceptualised and executed over 30 offline workshops for Serving
Soldiers and their wives inside Defence Camps
, and conducted the first-ever
self-defence workshops for Women Soldiers of India’s Paramilitary Forces
—setting
a new benchmark in dignity-driven, peer-led care.

In
another Global first, the VeerNari Shakti Resettlement Foundation empowered

Marking the next milestone in their robust growth story,
Thane-based Ekavta Group has shared their impressive topline projection of
₹1,300 crore, based on a combination of ongoing and upcoming commercial and
residential projects. This announcement is indicative of not just Ektava
Group’s strong reputation and legacy, but also the growing demand for high
quality real estate in the fast-growing and vibrant city of Thane.

The
developer’s three commercial projects are situated in the bustling Thane West
area. Of these, The Olive has a topline contribution of more than ₹300 crore
and is Ekatva Group’s flagship landmark. Ekatva Group has secured financing
worth ₹60 crore for this project from HDFC Bank. Launched recently, the project
has already secured more than 30 per cent of its targeted sales, with
possession slated for December 2028. Orbit Business Hub is another unique
project in the Wagle Industrial Area and has a targeted topline contribution of
above ₹225 crore, of which sales worth more than ₹60 crore has been secured. A
joint development with Fermenta Biotech, the recently launched Miraya Business
Hub bears a topline contribution of about ₹350 crore, and a 50 per cent booking
as well as commitment status. Complementing these is Ekatva Group’s coveted
residential project, Miraya Trinity, which comprises 645 units with an average
ticket size of ₹1.8 crore. The project’s impeccable location and amenities have
led to nearly 60 per cent of the inventory in the first launched tower being
lapped up in less than a year of its launch. This project too is a joint
venture with Fermenta Biotech, who is the landowner of the plot. Funding worth
₹125 crore has been received from Bajaj Housing Finance towards Miraya Trinity.

“Our tenured
presence in Thane City positions us uniquely to gauge the market’s evolving
needs and to meet these with thoughtfully planned projects. In recent years,
Thane has become a hub for professionals, SMEs and start-ups who prize the
region for its connectivity as well as the opportunity to invest in relatively
affordable office spaces. Quite naturally, we are seeing a boom in residential
projects as well, especially those that match the budgets and priorities of
corporate employees seeking to migrate for better work-life balance and an
improved quality of life. Our goal is to continually contribute to Thane’s real
estate market with our foresightedness and to deliver valuable projects that
enable holistic development in the region,” shared Hiren Chheda, promoter and
managing director of Ekatva Group.

Ekatva
Group’s projects have already garnered significant attention for their
eye-catching architecture, exquisite quality, and focus on sustainable building
materials and methods. Equipped with a bouquet of amenities, as well as a
future-oriented and world-class ethos, these properties are reinvigorating
Thane’s skyline, one structure at a time.

A cool breeze drifts across the misty
Nilgiri foothills as Kyna Gulia, an 11th grader at Good Shepherd International
School, Ooty, closes her laptop after a late‐night video call. Just minutes
earlier, she had been in a briefing alongside global experts at the UN Summit—a
stage few teenagers ever reach. Though already one of India’s brightest—having
participated in Model UN and swept several awards in interschool fests—Kyna’s
worldview took a radical turn when IFSPD Europe handpicked her to represent the
nation.

Kyna’s transformation is exactly why IFSPD
Europe, a U.N consulting partner and a European consortium of over 60 nations,
launched its Fellowship program in India. Designed to nurture the top 10% of
students from ten elite schools—including Good Shepherd International
(Ooty), Welham Girls (Dehradun), Lawrence School Lovedale (Ooty), Ashok Hall
Girls (Kolkata), Sarala Birla (Bangalore), CL Gupta World School (Moradabad),
Sherwood Hall (Chennai), Cygnus World School (Baroda) and Sri Sri Academy
(Hyderabad)
—this intensive accelerator demands just 2–3 hours monthly but
delivers an education far beyond textbooks.

As a partner of the United Nations and one
of the largest pan-European institutions dedicated to sustainable leadership,
IFSPD Europe brings unmatched global networks and expertise to the brightest
minds in both STEM and the humanities. From multi-stakeholder simulations and
diplomatic enclaves to mentorship by Fortune 500 executives and UN envoys, the
program immerses fellows in real-world scenarios that mirror international
forums and corporate boardrooms alike.

“By blending academic excellence with
hands-on problem solving, we’re preparing students not just to survive, but to
thrive in tomorrow’s world,” says Mr. Jacob Thomas, President of the Good
Shepherd International School, Ooty
. “Our partnership as a Champion school of
IFSPD Europe ensures that India’s brightest have both the tools and the
platform to drive meaningful change—locally and globally.”

At the heart of the Fellowship is a series
of higher order, multi-dimensional continuous capacity building exercises
designed to sharpen critical thinking, diplomatic finesse, and innovation.
Fellows convene in Global Sustainability Councils, where they collaborate with
their peers to dissect real-world crises using the IRAC framework—Issue, Rule,
Application, Conclusion—mirroring the analytical rigor of leading academic
institutions including Harvard. In Diplomatic Enclaves, they negotiate and
navigate challenging topics ranging from entrepreneurship to circular
economies, learning to balance competing interests and forge consensus under
pressure.

Beyond simulations, each Fellow gains
direct access to expert masterclasses, where industry titans share first-hand
insights into leadership, global governance, entrepreneurship, and portfolio
building. These interactions offer rare mentorship opportunities, enabling
students to pose questions, challenge assumptions, and refine their own
leadership philosophies.

“Watching our students engage with
global experts and then return to implement pilots in their own schools has
been incredibly rewarding,” reflects Ms. Divjot Kaur, Principal of Ashok
Hall Girls’, Kolkata
. “This Fellowship doesn’t just teach leadership—it
activates it, empowering young minds to think critically, innovate responsibly,
and lead sustainably.”

Echoing this sentiment, Ms. Vibha
Kapoor, Principal of Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun
, shared: “At the
inaugural session of the IFSPD Europe Fellowship, I witnessed a level of
insight and commitment among students that was truly inspiring. This initiative
is a step towards bridging the gap between classroom learning and global
responsibility—it is exactly the kind of future-facing education our students
need.

Meanwhile, as monsoon clouds gather once
more over the Nilgiris, Good Shepherd International’s first cohort of IFSPD
Europe Fellows is getting to work—transforming insights into action, forging
cross-continental alliances, and charting new courses for a more resilient,
equitable future.

services with a safe and homely atmosphere in Kolkata. Safety and hygiene are
serious concerns for women who travel to and stay in new places away from their
homes, whether for studies or jobs. Parents who send their sons and daughters
to faraway places for studies feel somewhat apprehensive about their children’s
welfare.
Sandree Home

Mammon Banerjee, the PG facility offers its residents a haven while ensuring
health, comfort, and a sense of security. Simultaneously, the PG service
provider contributes to the socio-economic base by creating employment
opportunities in the locality. Sandree Home has around 100 employees who cater
to the PG residents with necessary services.
